Associate Director of Development
Stan Smith is an Associate Director for Youth INC’s corporate partnerships team. In his role, Stan leads corporate employee engagement programs by connecting the corporate community with the nonprofit community. His responsibilities include managing the board matching program, longer-term skills-based volunteer projects and customized volunteer events. He regularly conducts board trainings with major corporations to educate professionals about the roles, commitments, and benefits of nonprofit board service. Stan also supports many of Youth INC’s fundraising events including the State of the Market investor conference, Trading Week For Kids, and Celebration gala. Prior to his current role at Youth INC, Stan co-led the Succession Planning Program, Metrics Program, and the Celebration fundraising training program. Prior to joining Youth INC, Stan was an Assistant Vice President for State Street Global Markets in Boston, where he was an equity trader for five years. He transitioned to the nonprofit sector because of his lifelong commitment to local community issues regarding education, family financial stability, and ending the Fear Industrial Complex.
Stan graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Morehouse College with a B.A. in Business Administration—Finance Concentration.
Outside of his day-job, Stan is the philanthropy chair for Management Leadership for Tomorrow’s (MLT) New York Alumni Board and active volunteer for Rocking The Boat. He is also a community builder having organized forums on community-police relations, recidivism, and financial empowerment.Back to Our Team
