Ted Virtue is a founder and CEO of MidOcean Partners, a Midmarket Private Equity Firm with offices in New York and London. The fund currently has over $2.5 BN under management and has managed investments in over 75 companies throughout the US and Europe.

Before founding MidOcean, Ted Virtue was Chief Executive of DB Capital Partners, with oversight for Deutsche Bank’s $35 BN Direct Investment Portfolio. Mr. Virtue was also on the Management Board of Deutsche Bank AG.

Prior to Deutsche Bank’s acquisition of Bankers Trust, Ted Virtue served as President of BT Alex.Brown and Head of Global Finance at Bankers Trust. He also acted as CEO of BT Capital, the merchant banking arm of Banker’s Trust. Under Ted Virtue’s leadership, Bankers Trust became the global leader in providing capital to the private equity industry.

Before joining Banker’s Trust, Mr. Virtue was a Senior Vice President at Drexel Burnham Lambert, where he ran the High Yield Commercial Paper Department and helped Drexel become a pioneer in providing high yield and leveraged finance.

Ted Virtue has served on numerous corporate boards including Bushnell, Vitaquest Inc., Strayer Corporation and Noveon. He is a graduate of Middlebury College and is also a trustee of Middlebury College and the Brunswick School. He is Chairman of Youth, I.N.C., a non-profit serving over 600,000 under-privileged children in New York City.

Ted Virtue lives in Rye, NY with his wife (Danielle) and their four children.
