Youth INC, a leading capacity builder dedicated to strengthening youth development nonprofits, is proud to announce that Mike Arougheti, Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Ares Management Corporation, will be awarded The John C. Whitehead Leadership Award at its 30th Anniversary Celebration Gala. The event will take place on November 13, 2024, at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.
Named in honor of the late philanthropist and civic leader John C. Whitehead, who played a pivotal role in the organization’s history, this prestigious award is presented to individuals who have significantly advanced social change through philanthropic community engagement. Mike Arougheti is recognized for his unwavering commitment to expanding economic opportunities, advancing human flourishing, and promoting shared prosperity.

The Celebration Gala is Youth INC’s signature fundraising event, supporting its mission to equip nonprofit leaders with the coaching, connections, and capital to build strong and sustainable youth development organizations. Over the past 30 years, Youth INC has supported thousands of nonprofit leaders, impacting over one million young people across New York City. The Celebration Gala has been pivotal in raising over $125 million, largely fueled by the generosity of the business community.
